I am a proud Chicago native and a junior pre-med in Pierson majoring in Global Affairs. As a former YCC policy director and college representative, I'm excited to take on the Chief of Staff role and serve as the inaugural chair of the YCC Women's Forum. Outside of student government, I am a vice president of my sorority, and I organize a Latin-language tournament for high school Classics students. As an Arabic Language and Mideast Studies Fellow, I plan to write my senior thesis on medical humanitarianism in Syrian refugee camps, focusing particularly on women's reproductive health ethics and norms. Some of my favorite pastimes include making and eating desserts, hiking glaciers with my sister, watching Scandal and Madam Secretary, and playing absurdly complicated board games with friends.

Hi, I’m Sal! I'm a sophomore in Davenport and a prospective American Studies and Music Major from Washington, D.C. Last year, I served as a Representative on both the YCC and FCC. Aside from Council, I sing with the Opera Theater of Yale College and twirl flags with the Yale Color Guard Team. I also volunteer with the Asylum Seekers Advocacy Project and am a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. In my free time, I enjoy eating vegan ice cream, watching old British detective shows, making coffee for friends (I’m a barista!), and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. I’m also a big fan of baby squirrels and my carefully-crafted “Baroque Lute Music” Pandora station.

Hey Bulldogs! I’m Mohammed Hussari, a member of the class of 2020 who comes from Staten Island, NY. Although I’m still undeclared, I like to tell myself that I have some time to figure my life out. Previously, I was a member of the BKCC, but outside of student government I’m involved with theater on campus, write for the YDN, tutor with Students of Salaam and am Outreach Chair of the Yale Arab Students Association. If you ever see me around, please feel free to say hello and let me know if there is anything you want the YCC to address!
